From what I hear, the nude swimming era as a whole (not just YMCA) pretty much ended in the 70s--although it was probably a long decline from the 60s. (There was someone who suggested nude swimming to keep the pool cleaner, and they stopped making that suggestion in the early 60s. But, of course, it took years for the practice to fully fade away.)
