Fighter is good for the extra feats, Pam+gwm is a stupendous amount of damage. 13 Scared_Anxiety_8057 OP • 2 yr. ago

What are your weird polearm builds? r/3d6

Use your bonus action and attack using your Polearm Master feat. Smite if desired. In total, if Booming Blade was successfully cast, the initial action should deal 1d8 + Charisma + Proficiency in bludgeoning, 1d8 in thunder, 3d8 in radiant, and a maximum of 11d6 fire damage, if the target miraculously fails all ten saving throws.

Bugbear with polearm master D&D 5e Am I reading that correct? A Bugbear with polearm master, and let's say a spear. Can attack a target in HIS turn at 10 feet, with the long arms. Now it's the enemies turn, when the enemy approaches to 5 feet the bugbear gets an attack of opportunity, since an enemy enters his range of 5 feet with a spear.

POLEARM BUGBEAR BARBARIAN BUILD D&D 5e I have thoughts on making a bugbear totem barbarian build we are using point-buy and my DM allows 2 feats at the start of the campaign. I thought about getting polearm master and sentinel feats for an awesome defender.

An ability of the cavalier is I think that they get one reaction for each of the enemies turns so if you have polearm master and sentinel it allows you to opportunity attack when they enter your 10ft range. Bugbear + Polearm Master + Sentinel = a 40-foot diameter circle of fuck you

Polearm Master. • When you take the attack action and attack with only a glaive, halberd, or quarterstaff, you can use a bonus action to make a melee attack with the opposite end of the weapon. The weapon's damage die for this attack is a d4, and the attack deals bludgeoning damage.

9 vegan_cookies5 • 3 yr. ago I would actually go bugbear, since they start with an additional 5 foot reach, so 15ft reach on top of your 10x10 space. I would start with 17 strength and pick up PAM at 4 and max out strength by 8 and GWM or sentinel at the next asi.

Bugbear: Though not directly related to giants, some might confuse them for distant cousins.. Polearm Master: Use this one weird trick to nearly triple your melee reach! As a Medium creature wielding, say, a longsword, you can swing at everything within 5 feet. On a grid, this is represented by the 8 squares surrounding your 1 square.

Reach weapons are useful for hit and run. You get up to 10ft. of an enemy, hit him, and then retreat, provoking no AoO yourself because you were not in its 5ft. reach (most monsters range is 5ft., though not all). You also get to cover a larger area than other people, meaning more monsters are in danger of you.

Polearm master totally wasted .. oh you where in the same county, no opportunity attack for you. Reply reply. Here is a build of a bugbear with a halberd; no fancy multiclassing, just pure barbarian. The halberd+bugbear+lvl 14 (and raging), gives a total reach of 25'.

• 7 yr. ago BradleyHCobb Bugbear Tunnel Fighter with Polearm Master and Sentinel Rules I had a player approach me with this character concept, and I'm not entirely sure how the rules play out here. He describes it as "situationally powerful, but not op." I don't know if he's downplaying it to get the thumbs-up or if I'm missing something.

The Echo Knight fighter is the answer to your woes. Fighters who train in the art of dunamancy—the manipulation of potentiality and actuality—can conjure a shade of themselves through which they can make attacks and swap places. This makes for a mobile, melee powerhouse. The subclass was introduced in the Explorer's Guide to Wildemount.
