Grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish or lightly coat with nonstick cooking spray. In a large measuring cup or bowl, whisk together the marinara sauce, water, and a few pinches of salt and pepper. Pour a small amount of the sauce mixture into the bottom of the prepared dish (just enough to coat in a thin layer).

Instructions. Cook tortellini according to packed directions, drain and set aside. Using a skillet, brown ground beef and onions, lightly salt & pepper the beef as it browns. Drain any grease from the cooked ground beef and stir in the marinara sauce. Bring to a light simmer. Add the cooked and drained tortellini to the skillet with the browned.

Instructions. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add tortellini and cook according to package directions. Meanwhile, add the marinara sauce to a large skillet and bring to a simmer. Stir in the heavy cream, basil, garlic and red pepper flakes and keep warm over low heat.

Start by preheating your oven and sautéing half an onion in a skillet. Add the ground beef and garlic to the skillet and cook until it's browned. Transfer the beef mixture to a 9×13 casserole dish. Add garlic, Italian seasoning, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 6-8 cracks of pepper to the pan. Cook for 1-2 minutes more, stirring well. Scrape the beef mixture out into the baking dish. Stir in the marinara sauce, uncooked tortellini, and a little more than half of the mozzarella. Top with remaining mozzarella and the Parmesan.

Add frozen meatballs, marinara sauce and water to a large skillet. Bring to a simmer, cover, and cook for 12 to 15 minutes. Uncover and stir in the uncooked tortellini. Cover the skillet and bake for another 12 minutes or until the pasta is tender and the meatballs are cooked through.
